A year or so ago I became aware of this arrangement of Uptown Funk by a studio group in Nashville: Tim Akers and the Smoking Section. Tim seems to like to take big pop hits and then spice up the chords and write amazing horn stuff to go with them. This arrangement just knocked me out and I knew we had to do it; fortunately Tim’s estate makes his charts available.
